Where to stay in London?

Location is a point that must be taken into account in a big city like London. And choosing a hotel that is close to a subway/train station or bus stop is the main tip for those who don't want to spend their tubes on accommodation.

Tourist attractions are spread over different areas, so using public transport to get around will be an everyday fact. London and its transport system are divided into 9 zones starting from the Trafalgar Square area. Zone number 1 covers the most central part of the city and as they are circular, the higher the zone number, the further you will be from the center, as shown on the map.

Best neighborhoods to stay:

South bank and Bankside: great for first-time visitors looking to get the most out of London's sights. Hotels in South Kensington tend to be more expensive, while Soho and Covent Garden are right next to the River Thames.
