Tourist Places in Australia

Here are some tourist places in Australia:

Federation Square:

It's impossible to imagine Melbourne without Federation Square, a modern square run by the cultural board responsible for the most disputed events in the city (there are almost 2 thousand events per year, an average of five events per day!).

Federation Square is huge and occupies a full city block in the most upscale part of Melbourne's CBD.

Ah, notice the floor: the floor is covered in Australian granite which, unlike the others, has earthy tones.

I know there are other things to do there, but I only visited the moving image museum.

Federation Square can accommodate 10,000 people at the same time, and because it is next to Flinders Station it ends up being the official meeting point of the city: it is right in the middle of everything, it even serves as a starting point for the other six attractions on this list. .

Flinders Station:

Flinders Station is Melbourne's main train station, it's right at the end of Swanston Street and in the middle of Flinders Street, the street that runs from Fitzroy Gardens to the aquarium.

Flinders Station is a historic station, built in 1854, with fourteen platforms – yes, it's huge! It is possible to make all city connections, including intercity connections, from there. For Visa Related issues consult here

Those who work or study downtown will at some point hear I'll meet you under the clocks, which is almost a local catchphrase – and it means exactly that: I find you under the clocks in the main lobby, where almost 120,000 people pass each the days.

And with 120,000 people passing through every day, Flinders Station is officially Melbourne's most visited tourist attraction.

Inside Flinders Station we find the panel with the characters from Dumb ways to die.

They were created to be a simple awareness campaign for safety in train stations and ended up becoming famous all over the world.

Fitzroy Gardens:

Fitzroy Gardens is one of my two favorite places in Melbourne.

I know that most of the time the Royal Botanic Gardens, on the other side of the Yarra River, end up taking the credit for all the natural beauty of the city centre, but Fitzroy Gardens is a smaller and more charming version.

In addition to the beautiful views of the downtown buildings, Fitzroy Gardens has two other famous attractions: the former home of the Cook family (discoverer of the Australian continent) and the Conservatory, a very nice greenhouse to visit.
