 Australia visa: timing for receiving the Working  Visa.
The times for receiving the Working  Visa are variable. We can say, however, that you should receive an answer within 44 days from the time of the application, barring any setbacks.

In some other cases only 15 days will be sufficient, exceptionally even much less.

Post-Study Work Stream (subclass 485): when to request it, how long it lasts and what are the costs.
The Post-Study Work Stream visa is a temporary visa that can be applied for by all those who have obtained a degree in Australia and want, once they have completed their studies, to remain in this State for work reasons.

This visa is divided into Post Study Work Visa, for academic qualifications, and Graduate Work Stream Visa, for purely professional qualifications.

The Post Study Work lasts from 2, 3 or 4 years depending on the academic qualification achieved. Here are the details about it:

  • 2 years if you earn a Bachelor's Degree (also Honors) or a Master of Coursework
  • 3 years if you study a research master's degree (MRes)
  • 4 years if you are studying a PhD (our PhD)

The Graduate Work Stream has a duration of 18 months and you can request it if you achieve one of the following professional qualifications:

  • Diploma,
  • Advanced Diploma,
  • Trade Qualification (Certificate III or IV)
  • The 485 subclass visa costs about 1,535 Australian dollars, equal to our 970 $ (depending on the exchange rate) and you can receive it after 4 or 5 months from the time of application.

This visa allows you to continue training, work and live in Australia and bring your family with you after you finish your studies in Australia.

In order to obtain it, you must be under the age of 50, have obtained a qualification in the country (among those listed above) and have studied for at least 2 academic years in Australia (in a CRICOS registered study path).

Australia tourist visa: why apply for it?

Depending on the reasons for which you are going to Australia and the length of stay, you can apply for different types of tourist visas. Here are all the details about it:

Other visas for Australia.

Below we want to bring you other visas for Australia. These are:

Spouse Visa: To apply for it you must have lived for at least one year in Australia with your Australian partner or with an Australian resident. Alternatively, you can also request it if you are married to an Australian citizen or resident. Initially it will be a temporary visa but it will become permanent after 2 years of living with your partner;

Family Reunion Visa: You can apply for this visa if you are a parent and more than half of your children reside in Australia. You will then be able to join them in Australia and become a permanent resident.

Migration Skills Visa:

 which you can obtain following a score based on certain factors such as age, your family history, work experience and level of English;

Business Owners Visa:

 specially designed for those who intend to invest in Australia as a priority shareholder and / or open their own company;

ENS - Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186), which belongs to the category of Permanent Visa, that is the type of visa that allows you to obtain permanent residence in Australia. In particular, to apply for this visa you will not need to exceed 45 years of age and have three years of work experience in Australia, which falls within the professions of MLTSSL. In addition, you will be required to meet the language requirement and have an IELTS earned with a score of 6.0;

RSMS - Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187): this visa is linked to professions required in the regional areas of Australia. Compared to the visa we told you about before, it is not always necessary to carry out a recognition of your qualifications. This applies to professions such as chef, painter, mechanic, plumber etc. However, three years of demonstrable experience in the profession are required and, also for this visa, you must not exceed 45 years of age. The required language requirement is also the same as the previous visa, i.e. having obtained an IELTS (or equivalent certificate) with a score of 6.0.
Finally, we want to tell you about some temporary work visas that you can apply for to stay in Australia and work here.

In order to do this, you will have the opportunity to link your stay in the country to an employment contract with a sponsorship. Specifically, we want to talk to you about two visas that fall into this category. These are:

STSOL (Short-Term skilled occupation list): you will be able to get a two-year sponsor if your profession falls within this list, and possibly, it is renewable for 2 years. However, we would like to clarify that this visa does not lead you to obtain permanent residence directly, except through other visas.
MLTSSL (Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List): unlike STSOL, this allows you to obtain permanent residency in Australia, within three years.
